Highlighted Data Set: The Intrinsic Memorability of Symbols

Experiment Description
In a recent study I conducted with 248 participants on Prolific, I aimed to explore the intrinsic memorability of 80 common symbols like !@#$%. To do this, I used a continuous recognition test to assess participants’ recognition memory for these symbols after a delay. Following this, participants engaged in a spatial arrangement task where they sorted the symbols based on their visual and semantic features. This experiment was designed to reveal how the inherent characteristics of these symbols affect their memorability and cognitive processing.
